National Reputation

Anita's Dance Center has developed a national reputation during the past 12 years, performing before more than one million people. We have met and/or performed at events featuring: Paula Abdul, Chubby Checker, Aaron Carter, Brett Favre, The Jonas Brothers, Cris Judd, Jay Leno, Nigel Lythgoe, Liza Minelli, Donald O'Connor, Anthony Robbins, Jordin Sparks, and Raven Symone.

Quality Of Staff

The staff at Anita's Dance Center is highly qualified and well trained with all teachers personally trained by Anita - the National Dance Teacher of the Year for 2011-2012. Staff members have included the 2003 Wisconsin Junior Miss and the 2007 Miss Wisconsin.

Staff specialize in providing the technical background and performing skills for children to excel on dance teams, pom-pon and cheerleading squads in middle school, high school and college. Some dancers have gone on to be part of Energee, the Dance Team for the Milwaukee Bucks. And, from 1998-2003, while the team won their first three championships, Anita's Dance Center was the home of the Splash, the official dance team of the Milwaukee Wave.

Education

Education has always been a high priority for the directors of Anita's Dance Center - this includes family degrees from Harvard (3), Stanford, Duke, UCLA, Cornell, and Purdue, as well as advanced acting study with Lee Strasberg (world-famous acting coach to the stars), and advanced dance study with many great dance teachers, including Barry Youngblood and Joe Tremaine.

Recitals

The dance students, ages 3-18, gain a great deal of poise and stage presence through annual recitals, which the studio is famous for. These events are so popular because of the studio's strong Hollywood and show business tradition. The students become polished because of the warm atmosphere coupled with a highly focused technical emphasis.
